HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A few road projects for Christian County this week may impact motorists due to continuous interstate work and new repairs.
Starting Oct. 13, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will initiate a lane closure on I-24 at the 92-mile marker for concrete repairs that will extend through Tuesday along with paving a cross drain on KY 1026 (8-10 mile marker). In addition, they be conducting bridge testing on KY 68 at Bethal Street with a road closure. More pothole patching will be done on U.S. 41 starting on Friday.
KYTC will continue bridge deck repairs on the westbound lanes at the West Fork Red River Bridge (mile marker 91.4). Since Oct. 1, westbound traffic has been reduced to one lane, causing significant slowdowns for motorists. The work is expected to be completed by the end of November, weather permitting.
