HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville man is facing four drug trafficking charges after deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office searched his residence after a traffic stop.
On Aug. 1 at 8:24 pm deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation at the intersection of East Ninth Street and South Liberty Street. During the stop, a law enforcement K9 alerted on the vehicle, and a search yielded marijuana along with synthetic marijuana, according to a news release from CCSO.
The driver, 31-year-old Tyisha Redd of Hopkinsville, and her passenger, 43-year-old Bishop Loving of Hopkinsville, were taken into custody.
A search warrant was obtained for Loving’s home on West Seventh Street, and a large quantity of suspected synthetic marijuana, marijuana, crack cocaine, marijuana wax, edibles, a digital scale, and various unknown pills were found.
Loving is charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs, trafficking in marijuana, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and prescription-controlled substance not in proper container along with possession charges.
Redd was charged with possession of marijuana, trafficking in synthetic drugs, and failure to or improper signal.
