HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating shots fired at a pedestrian overnight during a robbery downtown.

HPD was alerted about the robbery around 12:30 a.m. early Tuesday and responded to the area of South Clay Street and East Fourth Street. Public Information Officer Justin Rios said an unknown male suspect pulled out a firearm and approached another individual who was walking in the area.

Several shots were fired and the suspect demanded the victim’s property in an attempt to rob him. No injuries were reported.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival, and no arrest has been made in connection to the crime, according to Rios. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact ECC at 270-890-1300.
