HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – As Western Kentucky continues to recover from the effects of ice following last weekend’s winter storm, a second wave of winter weather will be hitting the area. The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Christian County from Jan. 10 through Jan. 11.

Heavy snow with accumulation is predicted, with Christian County possibly getting between three to five inches beginning Thursday night. Snow will accumulate quickly on all surfaces and roads due to the arctic cold blast this week, according to NWS. Temperatures are expected to be near or below freezing as snow comes in.
