HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Vansauwa’s Tacos & Vegan Eats will host its second Black Market Hoptown: The Holiday Sweets & Treats Edition. The market will highlight Black-owned businesses and vendors with a focus on holiday desserts and gifts.
According to Zirconia Vansauwa’s, owner of Vansauwa’s Tacos & Vegan Eats, there will be 16 total vendors with six of those creating what she is calling the Sweet Shop.
“Think about having all of your favorite holiday desserts in one place,” Vansauwa said. “While eating your sweets, you can also buy gifts for your loved ones and enjoy some good music.”
Along with holiday sweets, people who attend will find vendors selling handmade items like candles, leather goods, custom tumblers, resin and wood art, jewelry, and more. Food will be available as Vansauwa’s Tacos & Vegan Eats debuts their Winter Warmer menu. DJ Postman, pianist Jerone Williams, and local vocalists will also be performing holiday music.
“We invite everyone who loves sweet treats and the holidays to come out and support,” said Vansauwa, who also stresses the importance of supporting Black-owned businesses, “By gathering under one roof, we create an opportunity for people to eat and drink, connect with the business owners and have a good time.”
The market will take place Dec. 2 at Hopkinsville Brewing Company from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Get more details about the event on the Vansauwa’s Tacos & Vegan Eats Facebook page.
