HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Located within walking distance of several other locally owned business in downtown Hopkinsville is Blinker Light Fluid Productions. This new space is owned by Army veteran Jun Espinosa with the goal of collaborating with the community for content ranging from music videos, narrative filmmaking, podcasting and more.
“It’s definitely a little bit of everything, and I want to keep it that way,” he told Christian County Now. His production company opened up to the public in September along with his friend Jay Ammo, who is also a veteran and former contestant on The Voice. Since then, they both have been hard at work on a variety of projects including music videos featuring local musicians.

Building up in Hopkinsville, collaborating with community
Espinosa is fairly new to Hopkinsville, having spent years living in Clarksville, Tennessee during his time in the Army. Although his passion and interest for filmmaking began when he was a kid, the opportunity to pursue photography and videography during his time overseas in the Army inspired him to attend film school. Since branching out on his own, he has worked on a variety large and small-scale projects, including a recent Trace Adkins music video.
“I love doing music videos, but movies and short films are really my thing,” said Espinosa. “The bigger goal really is to be part of a big production company.”
The humble spirit of Hopkinsville drove him to the city after he got married when he saw the potential to establish roots and connections in the area while keeping his relationships with musicians back in Clarksville. Inspired by the growing arts scene downtown, his vision for their space is to create a hub for local creatives.
“You never know what it might spark,” he said. “Hopkinsville is like a sleeping giant, there’s so much heart and soul in this town.” Eventually, he hopes to lead workshops for youth and veterans who are interested in filmmaking while utilizing his connections in the industry to inspire the next generation of creators.
