HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The community is invited to honor local service members in downtown Hopkinsville during this year’s Veteran’s Honor Parade on Nov. 8 at 10 a.m.

The parade route will start at the War Memorial Building and travel down Virginia Street, ending at the Christian County Justice Center for a ceremony. Veterans participating in the parade will receive a hand-held American flag to carry during the parade and take home afterward. A float will be available for veterans who prefer to ride rather than walk.

Local marching bands and JROTC students will march alongside floats, with local organizations and first responders expected to participate in the parade.

A brief closing ceremony will be held at the Justice Center to conclude the event, recognizing the men and women who have served in the armed forces. Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation and the Christian County Military Affairs Committee encourage residents to line the streets and show their support as the community comes together to salute its heroes.
