Wayne A. ‘Frog’ Fort, age 77, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with military honors. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 12:00 Noon.
Mr. Fort was born in Chirstian County, KY, on December 13, 1946, the son of the late James W. and Willie Susan Nichols Fort. He attended Kelly Baptist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. Frog was a truck driver for over 31 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his five brothers, Doris, James, Elmer, Phillip, and Steven Fort; and his sister, Barbara Fort Meacham.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Dianne Fort of Hopkinsville; his son, Jayson Cansler of Hopkinsville; his daughter, Jaymie (Mike) Rogers of Dawson Springs, KY; his brother, Allison (Dianna) Fort of Hopkinsville; his sister, Joanna Fort Watson of Hopkinsville; his two grandchildren, Hailee Foster, Joseph Foster; and his two great grandchildren, Jamisyn and Luca Foster.
Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
