HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This weekend will be a celebration of Independence Day in Hopkinsville with plenty of fun things to do and perfect weather for time out celebrating. Check out Red, White and Booze, firework shows and more. Here are this weekend’s top picks.
The Pembroke Freedom Celebration: This will be held at Pembroke Baptist Church on July 3. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. and go through 9 p.m. Fireworks will begin when it gets dark, and there will also be bounce houses, food trucks, ice cream, and a trackless train for families to enjoy.
Red, White and Oooh! 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza: Hopkinsville’s Annual 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza is back. Come on out at 7 p.m. and bring the family for food trucks, Backyard Bouncers, and more. The show starts at dark with the incredible fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.
City of Hopkinsville Night at the Hoppers: A star-spangled evening of summer fun as the City of Hopkinsville proudly sponsors the Hoptown Hoppers game on Friday, July 4 as they take on Full Court Rhythm! First pitch is at 6:30 p.m. Bring the whole family and enjoy America’s favorite pastime with the hometown team! Stick around after the final out for Hopkinsville’s spectacular annual fireworks show, “Red, White, and Oooh!” lighting up the night sky nearby.
Fort Campbell’s 2025 Independence Day Celebration: Hit-making rapper Flo Rida will be the headliner at the concert, alongside the annual carnival. The fireworks show will be after it gets dark on July 4, on post at Division Parade Field. Admission is free and open to the public, with ticket sales for the carnival and food.
Woodlands Nature Station Presents Alien Invaders: It’s getting wild at the library! They are going to welcome Woodlands Nature Station to present their show, “Alien Invaders,” 10-11 a.m. July 5 at Hopkinsville-Christian Co. Public Library, 1101 Bethel St. During this program, a wildlife specialist will share about some animals who call Kentucky home, but aren’t native to the area. This free event is part of our 2025 Summer Reading Program. This event is for animal-lovers of all ages.
Casey Jones Distillery’s Red, White, & Booze: This weeklong celebration will culminate on July 5 with a performance from the 101st Airborne Division Band, while the Hopkinsville Fire Department brings vintage and modern trucks for an up-close visit. Smokin O’s BBQ will also be onsite as the distillery launches their new Cinnamon Cut Whiskey.
