HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Weather permitting, there are so many fun events to check out this weekend across Christian County. Hang out at Virginia Park for a brand-new spring festival, pop over to Casey Jones Distillery for a special celebration, or watch the latest production from the local student theater department.

Saturday Sleuths: The Curious Case of Mr. Cayce: On March 29 at 10 a.m., the Saturday Sleuths program is entitled, “The Curious Case of Mr. Cayce.” Edgar Cayce was born in Christian County on March 18, 1877. Designed for children ages 6-12, Saturday Sleuths will invite students to become detectives and help solve a history mystery at the museum on the last Saturday of every month. The program will be held at the Pennyroyal Area Museum. The cost of the program is $3, but Museum Members will be given free admission.

Hello Spring Festival: Hosted by Vansauwa’s Tacos and Vegan Eats, this family-friendly festival will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 29 in Virginia Park on East Ninth and South Campbell streets. Hello Spring Fest will feature delicious food, exciting entertainment, yard games and an interactive spring market with local vendors Several live music performances will be on the grandstand, along with a beer garden, tips from Master Gardeners, and the Hopkinsville Library.

Holler Bash: ATV and UTV thrill seekers are planning on making their way to Crofton this weekend for the Holler Bash. Off road riding, a bounty hole, live music, and food trucks will be available all weekend long for people camping or popping in for the day. The Bounty Hole event, which is a large mud pit, will take place on Saturday at noon. Meanwhile, the obstacle course competition will also kick off on Saturday at 3 p.m., and there will be an opportunity for night riding on Friday and Saturday night.

Peg’s 70th Birthday Bash at Casey Jones Distillery: On March 29 from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m., they are celebrating a milestone at Casey Jones Distillery with the nationwide release of Birthday Blend No. 4. Visitors can meet Founder Peg Hays & Master Distiller Arlon Casey Jones, take a tour, taste a special crafted cocktail, have a hands-on bourbon-making experience, and enjoy Smokin’ O’s BBQ & Full Circle Band.

CCPS Theatre Dept Presents: Beetlejuice Junior: Christian County Public Schools Theatre Department presents Beetlejuice Jr., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. This production will be March 28-29 at The Alhambra Theater. Adult 18 and up: $15.00 Student/Child 17 and under: $10.00.
