HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This weekend enjoy jazz music at the historic Alhambra Theatre, dance the night away at a Harry Potter themed ball, and listen to Charles A. Martin Black History program to learn all about the rich history of the Black community.

Jazz on Stage: Too Marvelous for Words: Come celebrate the music of Richard Whiting, Johnny Mercer, and the Great American Songbook with special guests Wendy Moten and pianist Christian Tamburr at the historic Alhambra Theatre, 507 South Main Street. The show will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23.

Hogwarts Yule Ball: A truly magical night for all. Visitors can walk the venue and enjoy the gift shop, a full bar serving butterbeer and other themed drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and more.  On the ballroom floor, hosts gather guests into their respective houses — Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Then it’s on to a proper ball and dancing. The event kicks off at The Bruce, 303 Conference Center Drive on Friday at 6 p.m.

Charles A. Martin Black History Program: Join for an incredible and inspiring event that celebrates the rich history and achievements of the Black community. The Charles A. Martin Black History Program is a must-attend gathering for all history enthusiasts and those eager to learn more about the contributions of African Americans. The event takes place at 2910 Fort Campbell Blvd. on Saturday from 4-8 p.m.
