HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – There are a lot of festive holiday activities happening in Hoptown this weekend! Watch a timeless classic with the family, shop among uniquely decorated trees, enjoy a sweet treat market, gather your friends to watch the annual Christmas parade, and catch a glimpse of Santa Claus as he travels through the city.

A Christmas Carol: In partnership with Campanile Productions, this timeless classic will bring the magic and spirit of the holidays to the audiences at the Alhambra Theatre December 13th-December 15th at the Alhambra Theatre, 507 South Main Street. Tickets are $15 and up.

Festival of Trees: Tour a wonderland of Christmas trees and buy your chance to win your favorite fully decorated tree! Trees will be on display at The Bruce Convention Center, 303 Conference Center Drive on Friday, Dec. 13-14 starting at 9 a.m.

Holiday Sweets and Treats Market:The Holiday Sweets and Treats Market will feature a delightful assortment of desserts, baked goods and holiday gifts, all crafted with care by talented black-owned businesses in our community. The market is at the Hopkinsville Brewing Co., 102 East 5 Street on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 3-7 p.m.

HES Energy Net Christmas Parade:Watch the annual downtown Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 5:15 p.m. The parade lineup welcomes floats, bands, businesses, clubs and golf carts that can turn downtown into a brilliant display of sound and lights.

Community Christmas Tree Lighting: After the parade, join the community for its annual Christmas tree lighting at Founders Square, 110 West Ninth Street on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m.

Santa Claus is Coming to Hoptown: Santa Claus will be travelling throughout the city with Hopkinsville Fire Department and Police Department to see children and families on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 1 p.m.
