HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – There are several ways to celebrate spring this weekend in Hopkinsville with multiple events happening around the city. Buy some plants at the garden expo, help restore the skate park, check out a spring festival or some reptiles, and visit a haunted house.
Garden & Outdoor Living Expo: Join the Christian County Master Gardener for our two-day event at the Christian County Extension Office featuring vendors, exhibitors, and education to get your garden going. Also come see nationally known Speaker and Podcaster the Barefoot Farmer! April 11 from 4 – 8 p.m. and April 12 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Skate and Paint Youth Event: The day will be full of activities like feather painting, bounce houses and of course revitalizing the skate park with a fresh scheme. Wear purple to show support of the military child, friend, or for your own connection to the community as a military child. Food and Drinks will be provided for the youth. Bring your favorite yard game or chair as we all work together to bring our skatepark alive at 2600 Thomas St., Hopkinsville, KY 42240 from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Tymeless Hearts Spring Festival: On April 12 everyone is invited to enjoy a fun filled day for a good cause! There is not entrance fee, just pay for what you choose, and some activities are free for everyone. There will be food, vendors, photos with the Easter bunny, egg hunts throughout the afternoon at the Trail of Tears Park from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Reptile & Exotics Expo: They’re bringing the jungle to The Bruce this Saturday & Sunday, April 12 & 13, for the Reptile & Exotics Expo, and it’s gonna be PACKED with plants, bugs, and bioactive goodness! VIP Entry at 9 a.m., General Admission at 10 a.m.
The Knight House Spring Public Ghost Hunt: Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the supernatural with experienced guides on Apr 12 from 7- 11 p.m. Whether you’re a seasoned ghost hunter or a curious newcomer, this event promises an unforgettable experience.
