HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – There is something for everyone this weekend, with several events going in throughout Hopkinsville. Play bingo or true crime trivia, watch Moana 2 at Tie Breaker Park, attend the weekend farmers market and see some cool trucks, or watch corgi races!

Count Down to Summer Reading: Family Bingo Night!: Countdown to Summer Reading with the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library! They have something fun planned for every Friday until their Summer Reading Program Kick Off Party. Family Bingo Night is scheduled for 5-6 p.m. on May 9 at 1101 Bethel St. They will play multiple rounds and prizes will be awarded to winners.

True Crime Trivia Fundraiser: For the first time ever Hopkinsville Crime Stoppers is  hosting a True Crime Trivia Night Fundraiser and it’s going down Friday, May 9 at Hopkinsville Brewing Company from 6–8 p.m. Grab your sharpest crew, put your detective caps on, and get ready for a night of mystery, mayhem, and maybe a little murder (just in the questions, we promise).

Movies in the Park: Moana 2 will be playing at Tie Breaker Park on May 11 at 7:30 p.m. Presented by United Southern Bank, Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Movies in the Park series, one of the community’s most-anticipated summer family activities comes back with blockbusters shown on the giant inflatable screen for FREE. This year’s series will feature food trucks, bouncers, and family activities with the Hopkinsville-Christian County Library beginning at 6 PM. The movie for the evening will begin at sundown!

Downtown Hopkinsville Farmers Market: Find locally grown healthy produce, fresh-cut flowers, proteins, baked goods, bourbon & spirits, handcrafted items & more! May 10 from 9 a.m.- noon. swing by Founders Square in downtown Hopkinsville to check out their monthly Saturday market.

Anne Willoughby Book Signing: Come meet fantasy author Anne Willoughby at the Blush and Bashful Romance Bookshop in Hopkinsville. She will be in the store on Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. – 2p.m.

9th Annual Touch a Truck: Kids, big and small, will be able to experience the excitement of mechanical equipment up close from 10 a.m.- 1p.m. on May 10 at Debow Recreational Complex. Vehicles in attendance will include police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, construction vehicles, garbage trucks, agriculture equipment, care cars, rescue vehicles, dump trucks, utilities vehicles, long-haul trucks, tow trucks, military vehicles, an Air Evac Helicopter and more. Hot dogs, snow cones and face painting will be FREE for all participants. Sensory Friendly Hour is also back! The sirens and lights of the trucks and equipment will be turned off from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. to accommodate children and adults with sensory sensitivities.

Corgi Races: Size does not matter! Be at Oak Grove Gaming, Racing, and Hotel for an epic charity race featuring little leg, big thrills, awesome merchandise and a 50/50 raffle on May 11 at 1:30 p.m. Plus, enjoy $1 beers and $1 hot dogs during the races. Admission is free to attend, with races occurring between regular harness racing schedule.
