Bolo’s Birthday Party: Beloved Hopkinsville Police mascot Bolo turns 5! Come join HPD for Bolo’s birthday pawty on Friday June 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pardue dog park where officers will be grilling out. All humans and furry friends are welcome, and they will have special appearances from Haven 12:10 Animal Sanctuary, Christian County Animal Shelter and The Groomery.
Science Show at the library: We are pleased to have Dr. Dave Whiz Bang Science Show return to Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library for the 2025 Summer Reading Program! Dr. Dave will present his show “The Periodic Table of Art,” 10-11 a.m. June 20 at HCCPL, 1101 Bethel St. This program is suitable for science enthusiasts of all ages.
Hoptown Hoppers First Responders Night: Join the Hoptown Hoppers on Friday, June 20 to honor First Responders at Christian County High School. At 6:30 p.m., all First Responders and family get in free. All others $5 admission
Western Kentucky State Fair: For the entirety of this weekend, the Western Kentucky State Fair will be in Hopkinsville with Draft Horse and Pony Pulls on Friday June 20, the Demolition Derby on Saturday June 21 and Faith and Family Day on Sunday June 22.
The Holler Bash: Get ready for another action-packed weekend of mud, music, and memories in Crofton at The Holler Bash – Summer Edition. They are bringing back the wild rides and rowdy nights—and this time, they’re adding even more fun for the whole family! Kids activities like bouncy houses and water activities will be alongside live music and classic off roading and mudding events.
Juneteenth Celebration – On June 21, The Divine 9 and Friends of Hopkinsville will host the annual Juneteenth Celebration at the Boys & Girls Club. The event will be from Noon until 6:00 p.m. The purpose of this occasion is to celebrate the cultural history of Hopkinsville through music and spoken word, while educating people on historical events and promoting unity within the city. All proceeds from this event will provide scholarships to students graduating from local high schools.
