HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This weekend, follow the yellow brick road at the Alhambra, race or cheer on your friends in a half marathon, experience the legend of the Bell Witch, hear the pumpkin story, and trick or treat with the Kentucky Cruizers.

The Wizard of Oz: Campanile Productions hosts The Wizard of Oz play at the historic Alhambra Theatre, 507 South Main Street on Thursday, Oct. 17-20. Tickets are $25 plus.

6th Annual Hoptown Half Marathon: The certified course winds through downtown Hopkinsville, residential areas, through beautiful Christian County countryside and returns to finish downtown on the Greenway/Rail Trail. The race begins Hopkinsville Municipal Center, 715 South Virginia Street on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Torchlight Tales: With about 300 people expected to participate, the mothers, dads, children, grandparents, and others in attendance will sit around a campfire to enjoy the Bell Witch Story at Jeffers Bend, 1170 MetCalfe Lane on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 6-8 p.m.

Harvest Praise: Join Christian Way Farm for their annual day of praise. There will be food, music, and the telling of the pumpkin story, at Christian Way Farm, 19590 Linville Road on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10-6 p.m.

Trail of Treats Car Show: Join Kentucky Cruizers for their unique car show with a trunk or treat twist, at the Hopkinsville Trails of Tears Park, 1730 East 9 Street. The fun begins on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 4 -7 p.m.
