HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A 40-year-old woman was arrested and charged on July 13 after firing shots at her ex-boyfriend and being in possession of narcotics.
Saturday night, Officers with the Hopkinsville Police Department were dispatched to the Manhattan Motel, 307 South Main Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers saw several people yelling at each other, according to a police report. Witnesses and residents told officers that a woman had fired shots towards her former boyfriend that lives in an apartment at the Manhattan Motel.
It was determined that after the shooting, the gun had been handed off to another resident at the motel and was placed in a storage building. The resident willingly gave the gun to police.
After a search of the suspect’s vehicle, officers found a prescription pill container, various pills, a small baggie with blue and white substances, and rock like powder. The suspect was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, trafficking fentanyl, and no registration plates.
