HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A woman was hospitalized on Nov. 11 following a house fire on West 16th Street, and according to Hopkinsville EMS, she died shortly after being admitted to the emergency room.
The fire was contained to the second story of a house in the 500 block of West 16th Street, where first responders located her still in the house in an upstairs bedroom. Payton Rogers with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS told Christian County Now that Brime was quickly removed from the home, CPR was admitted, and life saving measures were attempted. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Challenge House in Hopkinsville has identified the woman as Shatikia Brime. They issued a statement about Brime’s death, saying he had children who frequent Challenge House #7.
