HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A man was arrested for assault Wednesday afternoon, after physically attacking his daughter behind Hopkinsville businesses.

According to an arrest report, the victim went toward the back lot of the shopping strip at 2601 Fort Campbell Boulevard after her father had assaulted her at their residence. He then caught up to her, with surveillance video from a nearby business showing the 50-year-old Hopkinsville man pushing her to the ground and hitting her multiple times in the stomach and later throwing her. Her father caused injury to her face and head during the assault.

Employees at Ollie’s in Hopkinsville told HPD that the victim entered the store after the attack. When officers arrived around 4 p.m., the suspect was no longer at the scene. He was later arrested and was charged with assault in the second degree. The victim was treated by EMS for her injuries.
