HOPKINSVILLE, KY – The Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County is proud to announce the launch of its innovative youth-led t-shirt business, a hands-on initiative designed to equip local young people with real-world job skills while earning income.

As part of the Club’s Club Life & Workforce Readiness program, this new venture gives youth members the opportunity to design, produce, and press custom t-shirts for community members and organizations. Participants are paid for each t-shirt they correctly press, reinforcing accountability, attention to detail, and pride in their work.

“This program is about more than just making t-shirts, it’s about preparing our youth for the workforce and life beyond the Club,” said Terrence Davis, Executive Director. “By connecting effort with real money earned, our members learn the value of hard work, responsibility, and entrepreneurship in a supportive environment.”

Through this initiative, youth gain experience in operating equipment safely and effectively, quality control and production standards, time management and teamwork, customer service and basic business operations. The business also serves as a platform for creativity, allowing members to contribute ideas for designs and branding while building confidence in their abilities.

“We have made the cost of the t-shirts very reasonable,” Davis said. “This is a great way for the community to further support Club kids and our Workforce Development initiatives.”

Proceeds from the business help sustain the program and expand opportunities for participants, ensuring continued access to meaningful workforce development experiences. Community members and organizations interested in ordering custom t-shirts or supporting the program are encouraged to contact Davis at tdavisbgchcc@gmail.com.
