HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Wizards and witches across Christian County will be lined up to attend the Yule Ball at The Bruce on Feb. 23. The event was initially scheduled for November of 2023, but it had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
The event center is teaming up with the Christian County Literacy Council to make this magical night come to life. The Yule Ball will be the second Harry Potter themed event hosted there. The previous event over the summer sold out with 400 people attending. Sara Knowles, an account executive for The Bruce, said this time around they have adjusted to accommodate 600 people.
A portion of the ticket sales will go to the Christian County Literacy Council, whose main goal is promoting literacy to youth in the county. The previous Harry Potter event was able to raise $1,000 for the organization.
Knowles said The Bruce hopes to host more Harry Potter events in the future as long as the community continues to show interest. People who attend can expect to see themed food, vendors, decorations, dancing, and games. Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes or formal wear.
