Christian County Public Schools has announced a partnership with Hopkinsville Community College to expand dual credit opportunities to students.
The Christian County School Board heard construction updates on the consolidated high school as well as approved several change orders at their board meeting Thursday night.

On Thursday, Christian County Public Schools announced Kim Lint has been selected to serve as the next principal of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Early Learning Center.
At Thursday evening’s Board meeting, Christian County Public Schools announced Aniyah Lewis and Mollie Goode as the two student-elected representatives to serve on the Board of Education.
The Christian County School Board approved establishing their own law enforcement agency, along with appointing three community members to a Local Planning Committee, and approved several change orders for the consolidated Christian County High School at their board meeting on Nov. 21.
Lewis most recently served as the assistant principal for the school and was appointed Tuesday by Freedom Elementary’s Site-Based Decision Making Council.
On Oct. 2, Christian County Public Schools received state accountability data, including comparative data to other districts and state averages for the 2023-24 school year.
With visible progress from the street, the future Christian County High School is taking shape inside with hallways, staircases, painted walls, and state of the art classrooms.
Some of the equipment the school would look at purchasing could include drones, robotics materials, 3D printing materials, and coding programs.
