HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The United Way of the Pennyrile is hosting their Campaign Kick-Off Breakfast on Thursday, Sept. 5 at the Christian County Senior Center. This year’s theme is Shine Like the Stars, according to Executive Director Betsy Bond.
“Our 2024 Campaign Chair, Martha Steil, came up with the theme. It’s about each one of us being the light that shines, that guides the way to a brighter future for those in need,” Bond told Christian County Now.
Last year’s campaign successfully raised over $735,000 with a celebratory dinner at The Bruce Convention Center. This year’s goal is to raise $700,000 to support the United Way and its community partners, according to Bond. Contributions can be made through workplace campaigns or directly on the United Way of the Pennyrile website.
The breakfast is free and open to everyone. For more information, contact United Way of the Pennyrile at 270-886-8171.
