HOPKINSVILLE, KY- The Christian County Colonel Band was named Grand Champion at the 55th Annual Franklin-Simpson Marching Invitational Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024. The Colonel Band also received Best Color Guard, Best Percussion, and 1st Place in Class AAAA.
“I am beyond proud of our students hard work and dedication to the program and can’t see what the season holds for the Colonel Band,” said Anthony Darnall, Christian County High School Director of Bands. “I am equally as thankful to the dedicated staff and parents who help make the season possible.”
This Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, the Colonel Band will be hosting the Christian County Tournament of Bands at the Stadium of Champions for competition. They are welcoming 12 fantastic bands to our community. Information can be found at www.colonelband.org. This year the Colonel Band is marching 100 students with their show entitled, “A Step Above.”
