School officials receive false report of weapon on Christian County school bus

This incident comes less than a week after a false threat of an active shooter was reported at a Hopkinsville elementary school.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Monday Sept. 19, school officials received a report of a possible weapon on a Christian County School bus.

After a quick response from law enforcement, it was determined that there was no weapon present. This incident comes less than a week after a false threat of an active shooter was reported at a Hopkinsville elementary school.

A post from the Christian County School System says, “The safety of students and staff remains our number one priority. All threat or potential/perceived threats will be taken seriously and investigated by the district and law enforcement agencies.”
