PEMBROKE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Pembroke Fire Department opened up to the community for their annual Family Fire Safety Event on Oct. 19. In an effort to inform people about fire prevention, there were live demonstrations from firefighters, and fire extinguisher training along with plenty of fun for families.
Kids also had the opportunity to operate a fire hose or try out the firefighter combat challenge while also having fun on the bounce house and petting zoo. The Beaver 100.3, Christian County Weather Spotters, Pennyrile Electric, Jones Brothers Towing, Christian County Sheriff’s Office, and other local groups also attended.
