HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Kentucky State Police is trying to track down an inmate from the Christian County Detention Center who reportedly escaped.

According to a statement provided to WKRN-News 2 in Nashville, the detention center called KSP Post 2 shortly after 3:15 p.m. Saturday about an escaped inmate. KSP said the preliminary investigation indicates Kevin D. Johnson, 52, of Madisonville, walked away from a work detail at The Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville.

Authorities described Johnson as white, 6-feet 2-inches tall and 250 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was reportedly last seen wearing khaki pants and a black shirt.
