HOPKINSVILLE, KY – The Pennyroyal Arts Council proudly announces its celebration of Youth Art Month, a national observance that emphasizes the importance of art education and creativity among young students. This March, the Alhambra Theatre will showcase an exhibition featuring artwork from talented students across Christian and Todd Counties, highlighting the next generation of artists in our community.

Youth Art Month, established in 1961, encourages support for quality art programs in schools and raises awareness about the value of artistic expression. Through this special exhibition, the Pennyroyal Arts Council’s smARTS program reaffirms its commitment to fostering creativity and providing a platform for young artists to share their work with the community.

“We believe that art has the power to inspire, educate, and unite,” said Kelly Selfe, Education Coordinator of the Pennyroyal Arts Council. “By celebrating Youth Art Month, we hope to encourage young artists to explore their talents and show our community the incredible work happening in our local schools.”

The student artwork will be on display at the Alhambra Theatre throughout the month of March, with a reception and student recognition ceremony on March 26th at 5:00 pm. Families, educators, and community members are invited to attend and celebrate the creative achievements of our young artists.
