HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Christian County Public Schools has confirmed the announcement of Assistant Superintendent Jessica Addison, who is accepting the position of Superintendent with Todd County School District. Ms. Addison was confirmed last night in a vote by the Todd County Board. Ms. Addison has served as assistant superintendent in Christian County Schools since November 2021.

“Congratulations to Ms. Addison on her new role as Superintendent of Todd County Schools,” said CCPS Superintendent Chris Bentzel. “Ms. Addison has served Christian County with dedication and heart—as an instructional supervisor, administrator, and leader who always puts students first. She is known for her compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to doing what’s best for kids. While her departure is bittersweet, we are incredibly proud to see neighboring districts recognize and elevate the outstanding talent we have in CCPS. We wish Jessica and her family all the best in this exciting new chapter as she returns to her hometown.”

Over the next few months, Christian County Schools will work closely with Todd County Schools to support a smooth and seamless transition. Addison’s departure from Christian County Schools will be effective June 30, 2025.

“It has been both an honor and a blessing to work alongside the dedicated employees of Christian County Public Schools, in our efforts to make a meaningful, positive impact on the lives of students and families. I am deeply grateful for the commitment and passion I’ve witnessed across the district, and I am confident that the current leadership and staff will continue to advance the vision of a Community Committed to Phenomenal Schools.

With gratitude, I recognize God’s faithfulness in guiding my path and preparing me for this next chapter — serving my hometown as the next Superintendent of Todd County Schools. I’m looking forward to working with the incredible staff, families, and community members of Todd County as we build on what’s already been accomplished and keep pushing to give our students the very best.”

Addison began her teaching career in Todd County Schools as a high school math teacher. She later served the Kentucky Department of Education as an instructional specialist, then joined CCPS as an instructional supervisor and director of instruction before moving into the role of assistant superintendent.

To maintain continuity and ensure a smooth transition, Dr. Jason Wilson has been named Interim Assistant Superintendent, effective immediately. He will step into the role to provide stability and guidance as the district moves forward.
