OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A blazing fire off of the interstate in Oak Grove was successfully extinguished with no injuries Wednesday night.

On July 31 around 8 p.m., units with the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene of a tractor trailer fire at the Kentucky Welcome center off of I-24. The Pembroke Fire Department also assisted with water supply, according to Oak Grove FD.

The semi-truck was hauling other vehicles when the fire occurred, and the driver was able to safely detach the cab from the trailer before emergency crews worked to extinguish it.
