HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Three teachers from Christian County Public Schools were acknowledged at this year’s yearly Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA) Third District meeting. These passionate teachers earned top honors representing elementary, middle, and high schools from CCPS.
- Abby Hess, Freedom Elementary – District 3 Elementary Teacher of the Year
- Andrea Armour, Christian County Middle School – District 3 Middle School Teacher of the Year
- Anthony Darnall, Christian County High School – District 3 High School Teacher of the Year
All district winners from KMEA’s 12 regions will now move forward to state-level consideration for Kentucky Teacher of the Year recognition in their respective categories.
In a statement, CCPS praised the honorees for their dedication to music education and their impact on students across the district.
