HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Christian County Public Schools will remain closed through Tuesday, Feb. 3, with students required to utilize Non-Traditional Instruction Day #8 instead of attending class in person. Inspire Early Learning Center will be open with modified hours from 7:30 AM-4:30 PM.
“District staff are actively working on potential plans to return to in-person instruction as early as Wednesday, including the use of alternative bus routes where possible,” said a message from CCPS to families.
Although condition on main roads in the county have drastically improved after being covered in several inches of snow and ice, CCPS says many neighborhood streets and rural routes in the southern part of the county remain hazardous for buses, staff, and families to drive on.
Grab-N-Go food bundles for any CCPS student (PreK–12) will be available for pick-up on Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Christian County Middle School, located at 215 Glass Ave. in Hopkinsville. Please enter the drive on the PAC side of the school and proceed around to the back of the building to the bus drop-off/cafeteria entrance. The bundles contain breakfast and lunch meal items.
Families with questions may contact their school through ParentSquare, Google Classroom, or email.
