HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A locally owned businesses that serves up protein smoothies, juices, and a variety of drinks has announced that they will be closing their doors on Feb. 13. Located on East Sixth Street in downtown Hopkinsville, Downtown Nutrition has been serving the community since 2019.

The announcement was made in a statement on social media on Feb. 2 in which the owners shared that they will be moving out of the city, with plans to transfer ownership of the business falling through.

“This decision was not made lightly,” said a statement from Downtown Nutrition. “Our family will be moving closer to home to be near family. While this move has been on our hearts for some time, the timeline has changed very suddenly, and we need to close the club first so we can focus on packing and relocating our household.”

Downtown Nutrition is currently located next door to DarkStar Hobbies, 6th Street Antiques, Baked, and The Mixer. White Flowers, a children’s resale store used to be located on the same strip but recently relocated to Fort Campbell Boulevard.

“Hopkinsville will always hold a special place in our hearts. We hope to see you over the next two weeks so we can hug you, thank you, and say goodbye properly,” continued the statement.
