HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Milkweed Health and Harmony Emporium in downtown Hopkinsville has announced they will be closing.

Over the last decade, the store has made itself known known for the holistic and natural products, teas, jewelry and handmade soaps along with hosting collaborations with local artists. A statement from owner Julie-Anna Carlisle explained that she has decided to take the next steps in her life to pursue her passion for art, being a community volunteer, and focusing on her family.

“Milkweed has always been more than just a retail store to me as I hoped to provide creative and compassionate inspiration for healthy, sustainable living and an example of how, through love and understanding, we can make each life a little better,” said Carlisle in a statement. “I will miss all the bright faces and the hugs, and I’ll also miss having the opportunity to encourage those of you who were down or discouraged.”

Their last day in business will be March 28 at 202 East Ninth Street.
