HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville Knights of Columbus are kicking off their annual Lenten Fish Fries, a long-standing tradition that provides delicious meals to the community and helps fundraise several thousand dollars for local charitable initiatives each year.

For six Fridays in a row starting on Feb. 20, people can swing by the cafeteria at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School on East Ninth Street to grab a plate from 5-7 p.m. The menu includes made from scratch fried fish, fries, hush puppies, beans, coleslaw and dessert.

Bruce Wilcox with the Knights of Columbus shared that the entire community is invited to attend each week for a great meal and fellowship. The Knights have established their culinary skills in the city by preparing the food each year, and also by participating in the most recent MAC Chili Cook-off in downtown Hopkinsville.

Dine in and carry out options will be available each Friday. Adults pay $12 and kids pay $5, active-duty military and first responders can eat for free. Call 312-758-6687 for take-out orders. The last fish fry will be on March 27.
