HOPKINSVILLE, KY – The City of Hopkinsville will host a Lot Next Door Town Hall on Tuesday, March 31 at 5 p.m. at Hopkinsville City Hall, 715 South Virginia Street, to provide residents with information about the Lot Next Door program and answer questions about the process.

The Lot Next Door program allows eligible neighboring property owners to acquire certain vacant lots next to their property. The program is designed to help return vacant land to productive use, strengthen neighborhoods, and encourage community investment.

During the town hall, city staff will walk through the steps involved in the program, explain eligibility requirements, and discuss how the application and review process works. Residents will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about how the program operates.

Nearly 1,000 vacant or abandoned lots are scattered throughout the city, and the Lot Next Door program aims to partner with neighboring property owners who are willing to care for and improve these properties.

Residents interested in learning more about the program or exploring whether they may qualify are encouraged to attend.
