HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Monday afternoon, firefighters responded to a structure fire on Ashbury Circle in Hopkinsville that damaged a bedroom.
Just before 2:30 p.m. on March 23, the Hopkinsville Fire Department received a call about a fire in a bedroom of a home that was located at the 600 block of Ashbury Circle in a neighborhood off of Millbrooke Drive. Firefighters were able to respond within four minutes and found smoke coming from inside the single-family home, according to HFD.
The home was filled with smoke and firefighters worked to keep the fire from spreading beyond the bedroom. The resident, an adult woman, was transported by EMS for minor burns.
HFD says the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
