HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, temperatures in the region will approach or exceed record high values on Wednesday with a high of 86 degrees expected in Hopkinsville.
A decaying line of showers and thunderstorms will move into the area Thursday morning, bringing rainfall of 0.25-0.50 inches, according to a forecast from NWS. Hopkinsville and Christian County are currently at a marginal risk for severe weather on Thursday although storms have the possibility to bring 60 mph wind gusts and hail.

A few thunderstorms may redevelop Thursday afternoon and evening, and an isolated strong storm cannot be ruled out.
Looking ahead to the weekend, NWS says a cold front will bring another good chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, followed by cooler weather and a high of 65 on Sunday.
