HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Saturday, a Hopkinsville man was arrested on charges of kidnapping a woman while brandishing a crossbow, according to a press release from Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a CCSO citation, deputies were called to a residence on Quisenberry Lane. When they arrived, they learned that a woman had been taken from her home by force. Investigation revealed that the man entered the home with a crossbow, then choked the woman and threw her into a vehicle in the garage.

Law enforcement located the suspect at another residence in Hopkinsville and he was detained. During his arrest, the man made repeated threats to kill deputies and their families. He was transported to Christian County Jail, where he resisted jail staff and was pepper-sprayed and tased.

The suspect was charged with kidnapping, first-degree burglary, first degree strangulation, first-degree assault, terroristic threatening and resisting arrest.
