HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, a large-scale road painting project through multiple counties will also impact Christian County roads this weekend.
A road crew will be painting along a 15-mile stretch of KY 107 between Artillery Road and the Hopkinsville Bypass. The road work will begin on Nov. 4. A post from KYTC reminds motorists to avoid driving through wet paint. Crews use a special paint that will dry within five minutes, so driving through wet paint during that window is not advised.
Drivers should also remain vigilant and keep the safety of road crews in mind. There will likely be a paint truck, and multiple escort vehicles driving slowly along the roadway.
