HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Firefighters responded to a residence at the 400 block of South Henderson Drive late Tuesday night. According to information from the Hopkinsville Fire Department, a tenant reported that the back of her apartment had caught fire just before midnight on May 5.

HFD says emergency crews arrived on the scene within four minutes to find an attached utility building on fire, with flames venting through the roof. All of the occupants of the apartment were able to safely make it out of the home, with one adult woman evaluated by EMS.

Firefighters were able to contain the flames to the rear of the home, which was comprised of three separate apartments, but the structure was moderately damage as a result.

All tenants are displaced due to the damage, with the Red Cross called to assist the individuals.
