HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A suspect that was sought after by the Hopkinsville Police Department in connection to a shooting on North Elm Street this Sunday has successfully been apprehended.

Annia Williams turned herself into the Christian County Jail at 4 a.m. on Tuesday after a warrant was issued for her arrest. The day after the shooting took place, Hopkinsville-Christian County Crime Stoppers named Williams their Fugitive of the Week and solicited the community for tips to find her location.

The shooting occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. on May 31 at Mason Pointe Apartments in Hopkinsville. An adult man in his early 30s was shot, and was transported via helicopter to Nashville, Tennessee for treatment.

Williams is currently being charged with assault in the first degree.
