CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A semi-truck crash occurred at the 92 mile marker heading westbound in Christian County Tuesday afternoon. As of 5:30 p.m., the roadway is still shut down with traffic backed up several miles across the state line into Clarksville, Tennessee.
Payton Rogers with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS told Christian County Now that a semi-truck rear ended another semi-truck, with no injuries reported. As a result, 20-30 gallons of diesel fuel has spilled onto the roadway.
This portion of the interstate has barriers in place and is down to one lane due to construction. A duration for cleanup is unknown.
