HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The 10th Annual Summer Salute is scheduled for Sept. 11-12 in downtown Hopkinsville, with the festival headliner announced as country music hitmaker Chris Janson.
Janson is the voice behind a few well-known hits such as “Buy Me a Boat,” “Good Vibes,” and “Fix a Drink.” He will be performing outside of the Christian County Justice Center downtown Saturday night during the festival, with rising country star Harper Grace also taking the stage that day.
Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation organizes the Summer Salute to bring the community together each year with carnival rides, vendors and family friendly activities.
“We are excited to bring another outstanding entertainment lineup to Downtown Hopkinsville for Summer Salute,” said Toby Hudson, Parks and Recreation Superintendent. “This event continues to be one of our community’s premier traditions, and we look forward to welcoming residents and visitors for a weekend filled with live music, food, family activities, and community celebration.”
Friday night’s headlining performance will feature Hollywood Swinging, the nation’s premier tribute to the legendary funk and soul group Kool & The Gang, according to a news release from parks and recreation. They promise an unforgettable night of music and entertainment to kick off the festival weekend. Opening Friday night will be The 77 Experience, bringing a high-energy performance packed with crowd favorites and classic hits covering every corner of the billboard charts; rock, pop, country, and disco.
