HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Traffic may be impacted in the downtown Hopkinsville area in the coming week as upcoming road work involves two days of road closures.

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to block North Main Street at two locations as a milling and paving project moves forward, according to a news release. On Tuesday, June 16 North Main Street will be blocked at Glass Avenue and West Seventh Street from 7:30 a.m. until noon to allow milling operations to be conducted.

The roadway will be blocked again on Wednesday, June 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for resurfacing. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes while the road work is conducted.
