HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The community is able to visit the brand-new Hopkinsville Rotary Arena during the Inaugural Fall Sports Meet the Tigers event at the new Christian County High School.
On Aug. 8, families can attend the event to meet athletics leadership and all of the fall sports teams and coaches. This includes students participating in the newly consolidated teams for cross country, golf, volleyball, soccer, cheer, dance and football.
The Christian County Tiger Band will also debut the school’s new fight song in their first public performance.
All-season passes will also be on sale during the event, along with volleyball chairback seats. Admission will cost $5 and tickets can be purchased online through gofan. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the event starts at 5 p.m. Christian County High School is located at 1 Tiger Way in Hopkinsville.
Community tours after ribbon cutting
The official ribbon cutting for CCHS will be on Aug. 6. Later in the month the campus will be open for community tours.
Outside of scheduled student orientations before the first day of school, local families and residents are able to attend a tour to learn about the academies, visit learning spaces and learn about the campus on the following dates.
- Aug. 29, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
- Sept. 3, 4–6 p.m.
- Sept. 12, 3–5 p.m.
No appointment is needed for a tour, people are able to drop in within the allotted window of time.
