UPDATE: Interstate 24 blocked in both directions at mile marker 77

Update, 2 p.m.: Interstate 24 in Christian County is blocked in both directions at the 77 mile marker. This is about 3 miles west of I-169.

Also, I-24 eastbound is closed from Exit 73 to Exit 81/I-169.

Previously:

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Both lanes of eastbound Interstate 24 in Christian County are blocked at the 86.1 mile marker point due to semi tractor trailer fire.

The duration of this closure is unknown, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Motorists are asked to seek an alternate route.
