HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville welcomed a large crowd of community members Wednesday afternoon for its annual Great Futures Luncheon, where organization leaders highlighted recent accomplishments, future projects, and shared the impact they have had on local youth.

2026 Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville Youth of the Year appointee Violet Cansler welcomed guests, thanking all supporters for continuing to pour into the organization. Board Chair Cody Noffsinger informed guests that this past year, the Club registered 342 kids, spent over 181,000 hours serving youth, and provided 33,741 meals.

“It is possible because the leaders in our community understand that the destiny of a child is investing in their future,” Noffsinger said.

Upcoming fundraising effort, Tween Center

Alan Brostoff, Boys and Girls Club of America Midwest Regional Director of Organizational Development spoke during the ceremony on the importance of a board that takes initiative and said that the Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville Board does just that.

“These board members take ownership of annual fundraising campaigns and hit their goal every single year,” Brostoff explained. “I am extremely proud of this organization and what you have here is special.”

CEO Terrence Davis provided an update on the Tween Center, noting that construction efforts are continuing. Noffsinger introduced a fundraising effort coming next March to fund a street soccer mini pitch on the club’s campus. The event will be themed ‘90’s Prom’.

“This field will be a place where friendships are formed, confidence is built, teamwork is learned and young people discover what they are capable of.” Noffsinger said.

Cansler closed the ceremony with a few words on what the Boys and Girls club means to her and how the organization has shaped her present and future. “As time passed at the Boys & Girls Club, I started to become myself,” she said. “I’ve found genuine friendships and connections and built confidence in myself and my future.”
