Updated 8:38 a.m. The Christian County Coroner has identified the man who died in the accident as 78-year-old Michael Blane of Christian County.

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A fatal crash on Aug. 6 resulted in major traffic delays near Gospel of Peace Road on Butler Road.
The vehicle ran off the road and hit an embankment, causing it to overturn several times, according to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.
Captain Payton Rogers with Hopkinsville Fire /EMS reported that the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident was ejected upon impact. Bystanders attempted CPR and emergency responders continued when they arrived.
Despite best efforts, the patient was pronounced deceased by paramedics and the coroner was called to the scene. The driver was an adult male, aged 50.
