HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The City of Hopkinsville announced the opening of nominations for the Third Annual Mayor’s Community Awards, recognizing the individuals, businesses, and organizations whose dedication and service help make Hopkinsville a stronger community.
The Mayor’s Community Awards were created to honor the unsung heroes who make a difference every day. Awards will be presented in five categories:
- Small Business
- Non-Profit
- Volunteer(s)
- Education
- City Employee
Nomination Period
Nominations will be accepted Monday, Aug. 3 through Friday, Aug. 14 at 4:30 p.m. Community members can submit nominations by:
- Visiting the City of Hopkinsville’s website at www.hoptown.org/community-awards
- Following the City of Hopkinsville on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for the nomination link
- Picking up a nomination form at the Hopkinsville Municipal Center, 715 South Virginia Street,
Hopkinsville, KY 42240
Each nomination must include a brief essay of 250 words or less explaining why the nominee deserves to be recognized. The awards are designed to celebrate those who go above and beyond to serve the Hopkinsville community, often without seeking recognition for their efforts.
